How to change the one piece toilet -- by TOTO Toilets
• Shut off the water supply to the toilet; the shut-off valve is generally mounted on the wall or the floor behind the tank. Turn the knob clockwise to turn off the water.
• Remove the cover from the tank. Flush the toilet and continue to hold the flush handle until all the water inside is empty. Absorb any remaining water with a towel and sponge.
• Remove the float ball and rod from the top of the filling valve tower. Loosen the wing nut or bolt that connects the floating boom at the beginning of the filling valve. Pull out the shaft from the valve. If the toilet has a more recent model filling valve, the float is integrated in the valve body and should not be removed.
• Place a towel on the floor under the tank. Unscrew the water supply hose coupling from the bottom of the tank. Unscrew the retaining nut is located just above the joint with a pair of pliers. Lift the anti-siphon valve out of the toilet.
• Insert a new anti-siphon valve in the toilet so that the entrance protrudes through the hole in the bottom of the tank. Hold the valve with one hand. In the other hand to take the retaining nut and screw it onto the filling valve on the bottom of the tank.
• Reconnect the float rod and ball if applicable.
• Wrap the entrance on the lower side of the tank with plumber's tape. Reconnect the joint and tighten with pliers.
• Turn the water supply knob of the toilet counterclockwise. Let the toilet tank to fill. Flush the toilet to see if the new fill valve is working properly. Replace the tank cover.
